To the Academic Community and the International Public,

The Free Iran Scholars Network (FISN) stands in unwavering solidarity with the fearless students of Tehran University, who have once again risen against the tyranny of the Iranian regime. The tragic murder of Amir Mohammad Khaleghi is not an isolated crime—it is a symptom of a corrupt, failing system that has turned Iran into a land of oppression, insecurity, and injustice. The regime has not only failed to protect its own youth but actively suppresses them when they dare to demand justice.

Faced with this reality, the students of Tehran University have made their demands clear, asserting their needs in their chants across campus:

“Down with the dictator!”
“Death to Khamenei!”
“Mullahs must go!”
“This is the final message: the entire system is illegitimate!”

These are not just words. They are the declaration of a generation that has had enough. The students understand what the world must also acknowledge: there is no reforming this regime—there is only one solution: its complete overthrow.

The Role of the Resistance Units in Universities

FISN proudly recognizes and salutes the Resistance Units in Iran’s universities, who are leading the way in organizing protests, mobilizing students, and standing against the repressive forces of the regime. These brave young revolutionaries are the backbone of Iran’s struggle for freedom, and their courage is an inspiration to all who seek justice. But they cannot do this alone.

The Iranian regime has deployed its plainclothes agents, security forces, and Basij thugs to silence these voices of dissent. Every time they try to crush the movement, it rises stronger, more determined, and more organized. The Resistance Units are not just fighting for student rights—they are fighting for a free Iran.

Call to Action

FISN calls on all university professors, staff, and students in Iran to stand with the Resistance Units and play an active role in this historic struggle. The time for silence is over. The time for neutrality has passed. This is a fight for the future of Iran, and every university must become a center of resistance.

FISN calls on the international academic community to:

  1. Publicly condemn the regime’s crackdown on students and demand the immediate release of detained protesters.
  2. Support Iranian resistance efforts by exposing the regime’s crimes and refusing to collaborate with its institutions.
  3. Provide safe academic spaces for Iranian students and scholars forced into exile due to their activism.

To the brave students of Tehran University and beyond: History is on your side. The regime’s days are numbered. We will ensure the world hears your cry for freedom, and the Free Iran Scholars Network stands with you.

The future belongs to those who fight for it—victory is within reach.
